Drum Majorette

This march was written for my friend Tiffany Brucker of Torrington, CT. Tiff is a former drum major of the acclaimed Torrington Marching "Red Raiders" Band and plays saxophone in concert and jazz ensemble. Her hard work and dedication to not only the music program but every other area she applies to led me to compose this march. It is a rather challenging piece, especially apparent in the driving tour-de-force second strain. The heart-felt lyrical trio begins with an augmentation of the line heard in the introduction. The breakstrain is a rehash of the second strain, with a trumpet fanfare at the end (listen to the chord change in the marcato accents).

Key: Bb, Eb
